RULES AND STRUCTUREFirst Ladder Stage Match Details
Matches are to be played as Victory Point Control.
Resources - Standard
Location - Fixed
Map - The map is chosen by the two competitors, until finals time.
Finals Match Details
Matches are to be played as Victory Point Control.Resources - Standard
Location - Fixed
Map - The maps are chosen by the Players that were knocked out of the ladder. These maps may only be played once.
Grand Final Match Details
Matches are to be played as Victory Point Control.Resources - Standard
Location - FixedMap - 5 maps are selected for possible maps by the ECOHL community for the grand final in which the Players will choose from
Definitions
Game - 1 round of Company of Heroes played as either team.
Game point - A point awarded to a team for successfully winning a game in a match.
Match - Best of three games played on a map.
Challenging team -This team "Challenges" the other team.
Defending team -This team is the "Defending" team. They must host the game.
Delay of Match
The first game must begin within 10 minutes of the agreed start time. A team who does not show up at this time will forfeit the match unless his opponent is willing to reschedule.
Breaks
Teams may take up to 5 minutes between games to rest or tend to any personal needs (unless second round being played in the next day etc.). Teams that take longer than necessary may be subject to a forfeit loss depending on the opponents opinion.
Factions
The Challenging Team will play Allies in the first game and Axis in the second game. The Defending team will play Axis in the first game and Allies in the second game. If, after these two matches, it is a 1-1 tie, the team with the highest amount of victory points over the first two rounds will choose their team for the third round.
Winning
The winner of the match will be determined by a best of three games format. The third game should not be played if it cannot affect the outcome of the match
Post Game
Both must ensure that they have posted their results on the Forum in the same post as your challenge post or Told a Game Op the results of the match before the three days are up. Failure to do so may result in forfeit of postion. If one team does not post their results the other team will automatically win by forfeit.
Forfeits
Teams who forfeit their game once will differ depending on the circumstances. Teams who forfeit THREE times WILL be placed at the bottom of the ladder automatically. Any more forfeits, and the team could be either kicked or banned from the ladder.
First Ladder StageThe First Ladder Stage will go for a period of 2 weeks, before the ladder being locked for finals.
Finals - DEPENDING ON HOW MANY TEAMS PARTICIPATE IN THE COMP.
Out of the 8 Teams that start in the Company of Heroes Ladder, Only 4 will make the finals. When finals time starts, the top 4 Players will play 3 matches each. The top 2 in the semi finals will advance and play the grand final, the grand final will be played like a normal Ladder match.
